About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper to join our team at De Vere Tortworth Court, a 201-bedroom hotel in South Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Executive Head Housekeeper to maintain the highest level of housekeeping and guest service standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Monitor and regulate housekeeping costs, ensuring they are in line with business forecasts and maximizing room division profitability.
  • Deputize for the Head Housekeeper as required, taking on additional responsibilities and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement effective housekeeping procedures, ensuring consistency and quality across all areas of the hotel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally in a similar role and in a similar-sized property.
  • Proven ability to deliver a consistent level of service under pressure, with a keen eye for detail.
  • IT literacy and experience with hotel management systems, such as Opera and Fourth Hospitality.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation, including health and safety, COSHH, environmental health, and fire precautions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks, manage work schedules, and rotas to meet operational demands.
