Join us at Swan Family Centres Limited as a Community Outreach Supervisor in Coventry We are looking for a dedicated individual to work within our Children and Family Contact Centre and out in the community, improving outcomes for children, young people, and families.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting and escorting children and young people, undertaking and observing supervised contact, and risk managing to safeguard children. You will also attend and participate in planning meetings or reviews, prioritising safeguarding and identifying and responding to levels of risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport and escort children and young people.
  • Undertake and observe supervised contact for children and their families.
  • Risk manage and intervene as necessary to safeguard children.
  • Have good report writing skills to factually describe observations within the contact session within the agreed timeframe.
  • Attend and participate in planning meetings or reviews, as required.
  • Prioritise safeguarding and identify and respond to levels of risk.
  • Attend supervision and training courses in relation to the tasks, as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a calm and approachable nature, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deal with challenging situations and resolve conflicts. A good understanding of safeguarding measures is also essential.

Requirements:

  • You must hold a minimum level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People or equivalent.
  • A current DBS for working with adults and children - we can assist you.
