About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical ICT Project Manager to join our ICT Digital Services team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of complex ICT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead multiple ICT infrastructure projects of varying scope and complexity, using PRINCE2 methodologies to ensure that all projects meet key deadlines and deliverables.
  2. Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting. You will be responsible for keeping projects within financial constraints and providing detailed budget status updates, highlighting any potential deviations.
  3. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication across all project phases. You will need to be skilled at handling sensitive, highly complex information and able to deliver clear, persuasive presentations to senior leaders and project boards.
  4. Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery. You will be expected to develop mitigation strategies and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure that projects stay on track.

Requirements
  1. Educated to Postgraduate Diploma level or equivalent work experience in ICT or a related field.
  2. PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification is essential.
  3. Experience with budget control, contract negotiation, and procurement in an ICT setting.
  4. Proven experience in delivering large-scale, complex ICT infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
  5. Demonstrable success in leading, motivating, and managing project teams, as well as engaging with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  6. Experience in using project management software and tools to track project performance and manage project documentation.
