About the Role:

Assystem is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Configuration Specialist to support the Hinkley Point C project. As part of EDF's team, you will be responsible for managing the configuration of electrical systems, ensuring all changes are properly documented and implemented to meet project and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the configuration of electrical systems, ensuring that all changes are correctly documented and tracked.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure that electrical systems are installed as per the design and are compliant with BS7671 and other relevant standards.
  • Maintain version control and ensure accurate documentation for all electrical configurations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the resolution of configuration-related issues, working closely with EDF's project management, engineering, and quality assurance teams.
  • Ensure electrical systems are compliant with nuclear safety standards and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and configuration records for client and regulatory use.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in managing electrical configurations on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the nuclear or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of electrical system design and installation standards, such as BS7671.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills in managing configuration changes.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and processes.
