Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at re&m. As a key member of our scientific computing department, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions that push the boundaries of scientific modeling and simulation.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics or astronomy modeling, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be working closely with our cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy advanced mathematical models using C++.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop bespoke mathematical models using strong mathematics, numerical methods, and C++ experience.
  • Develop software solutions that meet the needs of our scientific clients, including software and bespoke mathematical models.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Familiarity with finite element methods and Maxwell's Equations is advantageous.

Requirements

  • 1st Class degree or PhD in Physics or Astronomy modelling.
  • Experience with C#, Python, Java, or Matlab is beneficial.
