We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of our School-Aged Team, providing support across mainstream and special schools in the area.

About the Role

This full-time position is accountable to the Therapies Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the School Aged team in developing innovative ways of working, ensuring that services are integrated, evidence-based, and responsive to local needs.

The specialist will assess, diagnose, manage, and evaluate outcomes for children and young people presenting with a range of speech, language, communication difficulties. This may include complex cases requiring specialized knowledge and skills.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent. You should also hold a Health Professions Council License to Practice and registration as a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

Postgraduate study relevant to the field or equivalent specialist advanced short courses are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs, as well as training others in their field.

Compensation and Benefits
