Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist to join our team at Active Care Group. As a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our neurorehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the multidisciplinary team in the care and treatment of patients with neurological and brain injuries, including weekly reviews and assessments.
  • Provide input on spasticity and bowel/bladder management, and participate in family meetings, case reviews, and discharge planning.
  • Practice evidence-based care through national standards and guidelines, and provide supervision to junior doctors.
  • Attend external reviews, liaison with local commissioners, and participate in service development through research, innovation, and local audit.
  • Contribute to the Group Neuro clinical governance meeting and engage in ongoing personal development through CPD and annual appraisal.
Requirements
  • MRCP (Required)
  • CCT (or equivalent) in Rehabilitation Medicine (preferred)
  • Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting treating those with neurological or brain injuries (Desirable)
  • Evidenced-based practice, patient-centered care, and confidence in engaging internal and external stakeholders.
