Divisional Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Divisional Manager to lead the Surgical Directorate in the Acute & Diagnostics Directorate at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.
As a key member of the Directorate Management Team, you will be accountable to the Deputy/General Manager for the management and control of resources, achievement of business performance objectives within quality standards, and contribution to the corporate management of the Division.
The Divisional Manager plays a crucial role in the infection prevention and control programme by promoting a culture of compliance and facilitating compliance with policy to ensure NHS Dumfries & Galloway achieves locally and nationally set targets for reducing HAI.
You will be responsible for providing operational support to the Deputy/General Manager in the efficient and effective delivery of Directorate level spend and savings, working within the context of NHS Dumfries and Galloway values.
The Divisional Manager must ensure that patient flow is optimised across all services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control of Directorate resources
- Achievement of business performance objectives within quality standards
- Contribution to the corporate management of the Division
- Promotion of a culture of compliance in infection prevention and control
- Provision of operational support to the Deputy/General Manager
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role or relevant industry
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
