About our client

Our client is a leading European private equity firm seeking an ESG Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sustainability initiatives across the organization, working closely with portfolio companies to ensure alignment with ESG requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement ESG strategies for new portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with the firm's sustainability goals.
  • Conduct regular ESG assessments of portfolio companies, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to address these.
  • Collaborate with ESG DD providers to conduct due diligence on new investment opportunities, analyzing risks and opportunities and developing key milestones for the ownership period.
  • Lead the collection of ESG data from portfolio companies, using an installed data collection tool to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare analysis and reports to support a range of ESG-related needs, including case studies, investor meetings, and annual ESG reports.
  • Provide ESG expertise and support to the firm's investors, ensuring all requirements for Article 8 fund annual reporting are met.
  • Support the creation of PR, social media, marketing, and communications materials to maintain an external awareness of the firm's ESG efforts.


Requirements:
  • Prior experience in sustainability, ideally within industry or in a consultancy capacity, with a focus on ESG strategies and initiatives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of common and topical ESG topics, as well as a clear commercial focus and ability to be innovative and pragmatic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
