  • Comply with all legal requirements for HGV drivers, including adherence to the Highway Code and company standards.
  • Drive company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, ensuring a professional image at all times.
  • Apply safe driving techniques to maximize levels of safety and fuel efficiency.
  • Comply with company delivery and collection procedures, including picking from bulk order loads, order adjustments, and health and safety protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service, adhering to company standards for customer interactions.
  • Report any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels to the Fleet Manager.
  • Follow company standards and procedures for working with and accounting for company products and equipment, including bread baskets, pallets, store returns, and buffer stock.
  • Participate in company driver training and communications programs to ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the company, including unloading, refueling, and washing vehicles, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV2 license
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of the Highway Code
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy loads
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
