Job Title: Senior M&E Estimator

AVK-SEG Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior M&E Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our EPG Team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and effective pricing processes to ensure gross margins are accurately quoted on customer bids, tenders, and quotations.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of all key aspects of power plant construction, both electrically and mechanically. They will also have the necessary skills to show leadership within the estimating team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Sales/Project and Design teams to prepare and analyze drawings and documents for tender.
  • Prepare and distribute enquiries to subcontractors and supply chain as necessary based on project location.
  • Research materials, equipment, and labor costs to maintain client expectations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to EPG/BESS systems.
  • Analyze exchange rates and pricing structures to ensure competitiveness.
  • Identify and report on risks, opportunities, and scope considerations to the wider team.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase process and provide regular reports to management.
  • Ensure tender submissions comply with Health and Safety legislation and AVK policies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior estimators to ensure they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Support the sales team by being a main point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding project estimates, progress updates, and any other relevant information.
