About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pain Medicine Specialist to join our team as a Locum Consultant in Pain Management at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and management in the field of pain medicine, with a focus on chronic pain and interventional procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective pain management plans.
  • Conduct clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Engage in continuing professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pain medicine.
Requirements
  • Basic medical qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) and full GMC registration.
  • Specialist fellowship in pain management and experience in managing chronic pain clinics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
