London Contract Supervisor Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Contract Supervisor to oversee our day-to-day operations in Greater London. The ideal candidate will have two years' experience in a similar role and hold a NVQ 4 certificate in Amenity Horticulture or equivalent.
About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and take your career to the next level. As a Contract Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of work streams, including grounds maintenance, soft landscape installations, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of contracts within Greater London via a diverse range of work streams, including grounds maintenance, soft landscape installations, living walls, irrigation systems, water features & ponds, through to Christmas installations.
- Lead and motivate staff to full potential and to management plans and objectives.
- Conduct staff appraisals and development opportunities for team members.
- Write method statements and risk assessments.
- Staff salaries, temps, and sub-contractors.
- Tools, staff training, uniform, PPE etc.
- Contract income and additional works.
- Perform maintenance checks and ensure safe use of company vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with identification for new business and additional works.
- Handle electronic and phone enquiries.
Requirements:
- Two years' experience as a team-leader/manager or contract supervisor within a similar environment.
- NVQ 4 certificate in Amenity Horticulture - in work training considered.
- Health and Safety training.
- Flexible approach with excellent interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
- Sound horticultural knowledge to identify problems and instigate solutions.
- Knowledge of administrative and MS Office software, particularly Excel.
- Full clean driving licence.
Salary and Benefits:
- £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience.
