Flood Modelling Opportunity

CV Library is seeking a skilled Flood Modeller to join our team in the UK. This role involves working on various flood modelling projects using Flow/Micro Drainage, Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS or similar 1D-2D hydraulic modelling software and hydrological software like WINFAP4 and ReFH2.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of up to £50k, commensurate with experience, for this challenging position. You will be responsible for applying your knowledge of flood modelling principles and practices to create detailed models and simulations. Proficiency in GIS software, specifically QGIS, is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge of flood modelling software to create detailed models and simulations.
  • Analyze data from these models to provide insights for project stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results on time.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A strong understanding of flood modelling principles and practices.
  • Experience with Flow/Micro Drainage, Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS or similar 1D-2D hydraulic modelling software and hydrological software (WINFAP4, ReFH2).
  • Proficiency in GIS software (QGIS) is an advantage.
  • A good understanding of FRAs, SuDS and Pre-Planning civils.
  • Chartership with a relevant body (CIWEM or ICE) commensurate with academic qualifications.
