Vehicle Damage Assessor Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at FMG Repair Services. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing the extent of damage to vehicles and preparing estimates for repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the extent of damage to vehicles and prepare estimates for repairs
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair vehicles
  • Work effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology
  • Keep up to date with all repair methodologies and understand different insurers and manufacturers literature and bulletins
  • Work as part of a team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA/IMI qualified with a solid Bodyshop background as an Estimator or VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor, Audatex trained
  • Full UK driving licence
