Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Strategic Asset Investment Director to lead our investment programme. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the strategic planning, procurement, and delivery of major cyclical and planned works, ensuring our £20 million annual investment is managed effectively and provides value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Set the vision and strategic direction for asset investment delivery, aligning with our corporate goals and Asset Investment Strategy.
- Team Management: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and others to deliver high-quality, compliant programmes that meet performance standards.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with CDM regulations, statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the investment programme, ensuring budgets are set, monitored, and met, with proactive risk management and accurate forecasting.
- Procurement and Contract Management: Collaborate with the Procurement Team to develop and implement strategies that maximise social value and ensure value for money from contractors.
- Customer Focus: Set and monitor customer service standards, ensuring all work is aligned with customer needs and expectations.
- Governance and Reporting: Provide robust governance and reporting structures, delivering timely and accurate performance reports up to Board level.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to improve asset data management, procurement practices, and overall programme delivery to support our long-term strategy.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in delivering asset investment strategies within the housing sector.
- Strong financial management and project/programme performance monitoring skills.
- Deep understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and health and safety regulations in construction.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and improving community outcomes.
