About the Role

The Mental Health of Learning Disability Service, based in two hubs across Kent and Medway, is seeking an experienced Operational Team Lead to assist in the day-to-day running of the service. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring a safe, effective, and high-quality service is delivered to patients with a learning disability and mental health needs, including behaviours that challenge, that cannot be met within mainstream mental health services, across Kent and Medway.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide operational management to a group of clinical staff, including supervision, appraisal, and supporting staff to reach their potential.
  • Lead the recruitment and retention of staff, ensuring the team is equipped to deliver high-quality care.
  • Implement and monitor processes to ensure team performance impacts the provision of a safe and high-quality service.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with other Directorates to promote and enhance patient experience and recovery.
  • Work closely with the local authority, Community Learning Disability Team, and other statutory and non-statutory agencies.
  • Support the MHLD Service Manager to embed the quality strategy defined by the Directorate, ensuring systems are in place to deliver high performance and quality patient outcomes.
