About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to lead our catering team at Marie Curie's Cardiff and the Vale Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain a high level of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve excellent results
  • Manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and supplies
  • Ensure seamless service delivery during events and functions
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City and Guilds or equivalent
