Job Duties:
  • Support students with challenging behaviour in the classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of students.
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques.
Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Experience:

Prior experience working with students who have challenging behaviour.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of special educational needs practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher-level teaching assistant qualification.
  • Additional training in behaviour management.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting with students who have challenging behaviour. The work may be demanding at times, requiring patience and resilience. The candidate must be prepared to work full-time hours on a temporary basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
