This pivotal role involves working closely with a broad spectrum of clients across various sizes and industries, offering significant variety in your daily responsibilities. You will be engaged in bookkeeping, preparing management accounts, and handling VAT work.

Key Responsibilities:

\u2022 Perform daily bookkeeping using Xero accounting software, including invoice processing and bank reconciliations.
\u2022 Review bookkeeping work prepared by junior team members.
\u2022 Reconcile control accounts.
\u2022 Post monthly wages journals.
\u2022 Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard.
\u2022 Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns under various VAT schemes.
\u2022 Prepare and file monthly CIS returns.
\u2022 Liaise with clients on queries and submissions.
\u2022 Provide training to clients on Xero.
\u2022 Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

\u2022 Recent and relevant bookkeeping experience, including preparing and submitting VAT returns and reconciling control accounts.
\u2022 Experience in preparing management accounts is desirable, but training will be provided.
\u2022 AAT qualified.
\u2022 Xero certified.
\u2022 Hands-on, diligent, and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills.
\u2022 Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
\u2022 Keen attention to detail.
\u2022 Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
\u2022 Team player with a strong work ethic and drive.
\u2022 Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Benefits:

\u2022 Salary circa \u00a328,000 - \u00a333,000 per annum depending on experience and qualification status. Negotiable.
\u2022 Discretionary annual bonus.
\u2022 Full study support, if required.
\u2022 Pension scheme.
\u2022 23 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per year post-qualification, up to a maximum of 28 days.
\u2022 Flexible working hours.
\u2022 Free on-site parking.
