About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful Nottinghamshire school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Assignment Details

This is a full-time, 5 days a week, term-time role that will start from November for the rest of the academic year. You will be required to work collaboratively with the class teacher and support the students you are assigned to.

Person Specification
  • Experience in working with SEND students at SEN schools
  • Experience in moving and handling is desirable
  • Confidence in dealing with vulnerable children in a delicate manner
  • Ability to work well with challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written
  • Willingness to undergo continual professional training
  • Reliability and commitment to working within an education environment
  • Able to work under pressure effectively and reflect in action
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude and a sense of humour
