Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Operations Manager to join our team at a well-established food manufacturer based in Bolton. As a Night Shift Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the night activities of the site, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, and maximizing departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maximise departmental performance - efficiency, waste, labour utilisation, service, quality, energy, environmental, hygiene.
  • Ownership of product quality, taking full responsibility for the quality of product through management and compliance with quality systems QMS and QAS.
  • Adhere to good employment practices relative to legislation, policy, procedure and collective agreement.
  • Employee development and people management including attendance improvement, performance improvement, discipline/grievance/appeals. Determine skills and compliance training needs to fulfil current and future business needs. Lead, coach and motivate a multi-skilled team to achieve individual and team development.
  • Employee engagement - facilitate the development of an open culture of proactivity, pride and accountability.

Personal Skills and Attributes:

  • Must be able to lead, motivate and develop the night shift teams.
  • Must deliver excellent customer service through management of the night shifts.
