Job Title:Senior Legal Counsel

Salary:$160,000 - $210,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team, providing legal advice on a diverse range of issues across WesTrac's business. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your commercial acumen and negotiation skills during strategic contract negotiations critical to WesTrac's revenue growth and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advise on broad range of matters including disputes and regulatory compliance.
  2. Develop and implement compliance programs and frameworks to ensure WesTrac's adherence to legislative requirements.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide thought leadership on legal, risk and compliance matters.


Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Extensive experience as a qualified legal professional specialising in commercial, corporate, commercial litigation, construction or mining law.
  • Bachelor of Laws.
  • Admission to the Supreme Court of WA (or other Australian jurisdiction) and current practicing certificate.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
