About This Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Cost Estimator Senior to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a Construction Cost Estimator Senior, you will be responsible for managing the estimation process for modular projects from initial client contact through to final project delivery.

This role involves:

  • Managing the estimation process for modular projects, including reviewing tender documents, preparing estimates, and negotiating with clients and subcontractors
  • Working closely with senior management and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensuring that all estimates are accurate, complete, and meet the required quality standards
  • Managing and controlling project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

This position requires:

5 years of experience in estimating or a related field, preferably in the construction industry

A strong understanding of construction contract forms (JCT / NEC) and ability to prepare accurate estimates

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues

Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate effectively

IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office

A full UK driving license

Salary Range: £50,000 - £55,000 + up to 12.5% bonus
