Our Programme Management Office (PMO)

We are progressing a programme of change which will see us do things very differently.

We are looking for individuals who have project, technical and administrative skills, are great at multi-tasking and used to working in a team environment.

In this role you will support project managers and senior project managers who are working with clinical services to progress projects and implement new service plans which will have an area wide impact and result in Better Health, Better Care and Better Value for our patients.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months for 18.5 hours per week. Weekly working pattern to be agreed with line manager, likely to include Tuesday and Wednesday.

The post is hybrid working, mostly remote working with requirement to attend meetings in-person several days per month at NHS Borders sites at Borders General Hospital or Newstead.

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
