Programmes Facilitator Role

Within our Care and Rehabilitation Services, we seek to normalise prison conditions to reflect life in the outside community. We believe in creating an environment where staff and prisoners feel safe, with causes of prison stress minimised. Our training and operational practices emphasise treating prisoners with dignity and respect, promoting positive and supportive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete assessment interviews for prisoners on programmes and participate in selection meetings to ensure effective programmes are in place.
  • Teach across the portfolio of programmes delivered at the prison, as a main and co-tutor to meet contractual obligations.
  • Maintain prisoner records during the programme and assist in updating waiting lists for audit purposes.
  • Complete and participate in Post Programme Reviews/reports to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on relevant offender management processes to provide effective information to other departments.
  • Deliver Staff Awareness Training to maintain standards of programme accreditation.
Essential Skills:
  • Willingness to undertake necessary tutor training for accredited programmes.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience of offending behaviour programmes.
  • Experience of monitoring service delivery and meeting short-term objectives.
  • Detailed knowledge of communication tools and techniques.
