Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach music to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons that foster students' musical talents and creativity
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies and expectations
  • Contribute to the development of the music curriculum and extracurricular music activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students' academic and personal growth
  • Support extracurricular music activities, including school concerts, ensembles, and music clubs

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Music or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching music at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching experience considered beneficial
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage students
  • Commitment to contributing to an outstanding school ethos and focus on high achievement
