About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist to join our team at Asda Stores Ltd. As an Optometrist, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our optical department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care and provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Work closely with the Optical Manager to develop and implement new patient services and improve clinical excellence
  • Coach and train the wider team to ensure high standards of patient care and service delivery
  • Contribute to the development of new patient services and shape the culture of the department
  • Collaborate with the in-store, regional, and home office teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Be a registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
  • Hold MECs or WECs accreditation (or be willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda)
  • Be on track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of the optical department
