We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Technical Implementation Services team at Charles River Development, a part of State Street. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in implementing sophisticated trade order management and compliance monitoring systems to the fund management industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the implementation of complex systems, providing technical consultancy services to clients and their CRD Account Managers.
- Provide technical expertise in software installation, configuration, and testing, as well as problem investigation and database configuration.
- Design and develop solutions for additional client requirements, working closely with the client and CRD teams.
- Travel extensively, working on client sites in London and the EMEA region.
- Experience in at least one major DBMS (MS SQL Server or Oracle), including installation, configuration, and development.
- Multi-tier application experience.
- Good knowledge and experience of PL/SQL or TransactSQL (MS SQL Server) and complex SQL debugging and optimization.
- System interfacing and integration experience.
- Proven development experience in Java and/or C#.
- Development experience in Web Services, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), XML Messaging, Excel VBA, and Perl.NET would be an advantage.
- Experience working in Financial services, front- or middle-office, or fund management business areas is ideal.
- Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area.
- Comfortable making presentations covering business, technical, or sales.
- Detailed knowledge of project phasing and reporting, on-site delivery, systems support, operational procedures, batch processing, system sizing and capacity planning, system backup, contingency, and disaster recovery, and regional roll-outs.
- Third-level qualification essential, ideally a Technical Bachelors Degree.
- Fluency in a European language highly desirable.
