About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Durham University Day Nursery. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and education to children aged 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality childcare and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and stimulating activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education and childcare.
Requirements
  • NNEB or CACHE/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and experience of the EYFS Statutory Framework for children aged 0-5 years old.
  • Experience of working with children aged 0-5 years old.
  • Have an understanding of Safeguarding in the Early years sector.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good digital skills, including experience in using core digital tools.
