About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Facilities team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all areas, including offices, clinics, and patient rooms.
  • Use a range of cleaning methods, including high dusting, damp dusting, vacuuming, and mopping, in accordance with the NHS Cleaning Manual.
  • Maintain and replenish stocks of consumable items, such as paper hand towels and soap, in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to all aspects of Infection Control, including the use of colour-coded equipment to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Report maintenance faults, building fabric issues, pests, and other concerns to the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Collect, segregate, and store waste from locations according to local procedures and the Trust's Waste policy.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality, privacy, and dignity are maintained throughout your work.

Requirements

  • NVQ in Cleaning or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning and catering procedures.
  • Good literacy skills.
