We are partnering with a Local Authority in a collaborative effort to appoint a Mechanical Inspector on a 2-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion. To be considered, please submit your CV for immediate review.

Compensation: £23.48 - £30.75 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Inspector will be to ensure that all mechanical works carried out on site by contractors meet the project's technical requirements, specifications, and legislation.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will maintain detailed records and site notes on a daily basis.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will establish and maintain effective communication channels with client officers, contractors, residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will conduct thorough site inspections and monitoring on assigned projects, as well as provide coverage for colleagues as needed.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will assist in preparing project reports for committees, area forums, working parties, client organizations, tenant associations, and external agencies, while providing effective liaison and attending required meetings.

Qualifications:

  • A Higher National Certificate in building services, engineering, or equivalent, with practical experience.
  • Excellent detailed technical knowledge of mechanical installations, gas installation works, heat networks, and communal heating systems, as well as their repair and refurbishment.

Requirements:

  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
  • Right to work in the U.K.
  • An enhanced DBS is required for this role.
