Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for midwives to join our team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Maternity Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to mothers and babies in our maternity unit.
Responsibilities- To work in all areas of Maternity Services at SWFT, fulfilling a normal roster pattern, working all shifts throughout the week to provide all aspects of maternity care to mothers and babies.
- To ensure the maintenance of high standards of midwifery care at all times.
- To act as a lead professional where appropriate in planning and evaluating care in partnership with the woman for both her baby and referring when necessary.
- Register Midwife.
- Ability to administer IV drugs, suturing, and cannulation.
- Teaching/assessment skills, effective communication, leadership, and motivation skills.
- Diplomatic, assertive, confident, and personally mature with recognition of own limitations.
- Able to work on own initiative and within a team, flexible to work days, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and on calls.
- Full driving license.

SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
