**Job Title: Automotive Instructor**

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Automotive Instructor to join our team at Southeast Community College. As an Automotive Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in the Automotive Technology program.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Teach and develop courses in the Automotive Technology program, including aspects of Automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies in the classroom/laboratory, including lectures, small groups, and laboratory activities.
  • Prepare and administer student evaluation instruments and maintain accurate student records.
  • Participate in division and college meetings and committees.
  • Develop and/or revise course objectives, content, descriptions, and instructional strategies.
  • Maintain and upgrade the Automotive Technology classroom/laboratory instructional facilities and equipment.
  • Provide information and data that will assist in the preparation of budgets, course schedules, and other required reports.

**Requirements:**

  • Associate's degree in an Automotive Technology field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the automotive field related to the area of Automotive Technology.
  • Must currently hold or must obtain ASE Certification in areas of instruction plus G1, within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must currently hold or must obtain ASE Master Automobile Service Technician within two (2) years of hire.
