Job Title: Legal Director (EMEA) - Compliance and Data Protection

Taylor Root is pleased to be working with a rapidly growing technology infrastructure business to help them recruit a Legal Director (EMEA) - Compliance and Data Protection.

About the Role

As a Legal Director (EMEA) - Compliance and Data Protection, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the compliance program in EMEA. You will work closely with the business and leadership across EMEA on ethics and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
  • Conducting compliance risk assessments to identify and address potential compliance issues.
  • Leading the regional privacy program and maintaining GDPR compliance.
Requirements

Qualified UK Lawyer or Barrister - (legal qualifications from other jurisdictions will also be considered but all applicants must be fully qualified Lawyers or Barristers)

~10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, with a significant portion in the technology industry.

~ Significant compliance experience, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, privacy, and internal investigations.

~ Corporate compliance and ethics experience, preferably at a top-tier law firm, governmental enforcement authority, and/or multinational company.
