Electrical Project Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Project Specialist to join our team at Prime Appointments in Harwich. As an integral member of the EC&I Department, you will be responsible for managing electrical, instrumentation, and control system projects at our Manufacturing Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Delivery: Design, build, commission, and validate new projects and modifications of existing plant and equipment to current standards, including COMAH regulations.
  2. Cable Circuit Design: Design and calculation of cable circuits for both low voltage (LV) and hazardous area applications.
  3. Resource Management: Manage resources, materials, and other deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
  4. Validation Documentation: Produce validation documentation for plant and control systems.
  5. Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate deliverables and costs with suppliers and contractors.
Requirements:
  1. Design Experience: Proven design experience of electrical systems maintenance and testing, including high voltage (HV), LV, 18th edition, and hazardous areas to EN60079 standards.
  2. PLC and DCS Control: Experience with PLC and DCS control and field instrumentation.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and planning skills, including assessment of method statements and risk assessments.
  4. Familiarity with Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD, maintenance management systems, project handover documentation, operator, and maintenance training.
