Senior HR Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HR Advisor to join our team at Office Angels. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the administration of recruitment exercises, working closely with managers to understand their staffing requirements.
  • Design effective job advertisements and job descriptions that comply with best practices.
  • Place advertisements, generate letters to applicants, and prepare shortlisting packs, interview schedules, and interview questions.
  • Collaborate with the HR Apprentice to prepare standard letters of appointment, contracts, and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Produce HR letters and maintain consistent, accurate, and professional communication.
  • Maintain the Single Central Register (SCR) for staff.
  • Work with managers and the professional development team to ensure new staff receive a high-quality induction.
  • Ensure monthly payroll changes are entered accurately and in line with college deadlines.
  • Assist with salary, benefit, and pension calculations and queries, working closely with the Payroll Manager.
  • Monitor sick leave absence records, annual leave records, and end-of-probationary periods.
  • Ensure the HR Information System (Access People) is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the provision of HR management information and analytics.
  • Conduct exit and induction interviews with incoming and outgoing staff.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor, preferably within the education sector.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

This is a full-time permanent position, offering an annual salary ranging from £38,000 to £41,000, depending on experience. Our client offers a supportive and inclusive working environment, along with opportunities for professional development and growth.
