Job Summary

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Power Earthing Consultant to join its team in the UK Division.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work within the Power / Earthing & Lightning Protection Unit and report to the Head of Earthing & Lightning Protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site-based electrical testing and inspection of earthing systems at substations, power stations, and renewable energy projects.
  • Analyze data gathered on site and design earthing systems for new HV infrastructure projects.
  • Perform computer simulations of earthing systems and complete safety assessments.
  • Communicate with clients to request technical input data, provide outputs, and resolve queries.
  • Prepare reports to required quality standards.

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering degree - Bachelor level.
  • Able and willing to attend client sites at various locations around the UK to perform physically demanding earth testing work.
  • Willing to stay away from home for short periods - e.g. 2 to 4 nights per week while carrying out site testing.
