Job Title: Quantitative Risk Analyst

Within The Emerald Group's Risk Analytics department, the Reinsurance Catastrophe Modelling team utilises advanced analytics to forecast and manage catastrophe losses.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver comprehensive and insightful modelling outputs to key stakeholders throughout the pricing process.
  2. Act as a key point of contact for underwriters and other stakeholders, addressing queries related to the pricing of accounts and portfolio roll-up.
  3. Conduct internal and external reporting activities for submissions.
  4. Collaborate with Senior Analysts in designing and implementing risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  5. Adhere to The Emerald Group's Business Ethics policy and relevant regulatory requirements.
  6. Demonstrate sound financial and commercial acumen.
  7. Utilise risk analytics modelling expertise, specifically with RMS RiskLink / RMS Risk Manager/ AIR Touchstone/ Touchstone Re.
  8. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  9. Possess a solid understanding of data management and structures.
  10. General coding logic and coding experience in SQL are highly desirable; skills in R and/or Python would be beneficial.
  11. Experience in data manipulation and visualization tools, such as PowerBI, is desirable.
  12. Ability to design, operate, interpret, and communicate quantitative reporting.
  13. Experience in using DFA tools and Underwriting administration systems is desirable.
  14. Knowledge and experience of the (re)insurance industry is desirable.
