We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our client's busy workshop in Guildford.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to take the next step in their career or for a mechanic with strong diagnostic skills to transition into a main dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to identify vehicle faults
  • Perform diagnostics on engine management systems, ABS, and other electronic systems
  • Repair and maintain light commercial vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 NVQ/IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Diagnostic Technician or a Mechanic with strong diagnostic skills in the Automotive Industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving license
