About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Rock and Pop Music Teacher to join our team at iRock School of Music. As a Band Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education to children in a fun and engaging way.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach groups of children at up to 10 primary schools per week.
- Teach multiple instruments in a band setting, including drums, keyboard, guitar, or vocals.
- Foster relationships with parents, schools, and the wider community.
- Help pupils shine in their first live performances in front of an audience.
- Handle daily administrative tasks.
- Certify students within the RSL structure.
- Engage in a physically active role, including the loading and unloading of musical equipment.
- Participate in running our exciting holiday club two weeks a year.
Requirements
- Musical talent, with the ability to play at least two of the following: drums, keyboard, guitar, or vocals.
- Valid driving license and access to your own car.
- Strong organisational and IT skills to manage your schedule and tasks effectively.
- Passion and confidence, with the ability to build positive relationships with both adults and children.
- Reliability and commitment to providing consistent, high-quality music education.
- Excellent communication skills.
