About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rock and Pop Music Teacher to join our team at iRock School of Music. As a Band Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education to children in a fun and engaging way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach groups of children at up to 10 primary schools per week.
  • Teach multiple instruments in a band setting, including drums, keyboard, guitar, or vocals.
  • Foster relationships with parents, schools, and the wider community.
  • Help pupils shine in their first live performances in front of an audience.
  • Handle daily administrative tasks.
  • Certify students within the RSL structure.
  • Engage in a physically active role, including the loading and unloading of musical equipment.
  • Participate in running our exciting holiday club two weeks a year.

Requirements

  • Musical talent, with the ability to play at least two of the following: drums, keyboard, guitar, or vocals.
  • Valid driving license and access to your own car.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills to manage your schedule and tasks effectively.
  • Passion and confidence, with the ability to build positive relationships with both adults and children.
  • Reliability and commitment to providing consistent, high-quality music education.
  • Excellent communication skills.
