**Job Summary**

The Mechanical Fitter role at Wood involves executing critical mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to ensure the overall success and efficiency of our operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Execute mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to meet project demands and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment to support industrial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues and improve overall system performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and equipment used in industrial settings.
  • Utilize technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals to interpret and work from mechanical installations and repairs.
  • Operate a wide range of hand and power tools to effectively and safely complete mechanical fitting tasks.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines, regulations, and protocols to promote a culture of safety in the workplace.

**Requirements**

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Fitting or Engineering, with proven experience in a similar role within industrial settings.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and manuals.
  • Competent in utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Adaptability and fast-paced work capability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
