SEN Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team at Prospero Teaching in Croydon, London. The institution provides holistic education and care for children aged 12-16 with severe special educational needs (SEN) and profound Learning Difficulties.

The school aims to deliver comprehensive care through the collaboration of teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Individualized Education Plans: Develop, implement, and regularly update tailored education plans for each student to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Goal Setting: Establish specific, measurable goals that cater to the distinct needs and abilities of each child.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree/Qualifications in Special Education or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with severe SEN, ASD, and disabilities is required.
  • Understanding of Disabilities: Familiarity with various disabilities and SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, and cognitive impairments is necessary.
  • DBS Certificate: Holding a valid Child and Adult DBS certificate is mandatory.
