About the Role

The Lead Project Manager will provide leadership to a team of Project Managers, both internal and external. They will plan, execute, and ensure the successful delivery of both their own projects and those of their teams. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in successfully delivering projects on time and within budget, ensuring a successful transition to the business and Service Delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor a small group of internal and external Project Managers to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with set standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Build and maintain a motivated and highly skilled, delivery-focused team.
  • Work with other Lead Project Managers and the Portfolio Management Office to ensure best practice with regards project management tools and methodologies.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive and integrated project, quality, and risk plans.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven leadership and management experience with stakeholders, suppliers, and a mix of internal and external project resources.
  • Previous line management experience and a good understanding of working alongside leadership competencies and values.
  • Sound business and technical understanding, with the commercial acumen to exploit technology for competitive advantage.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with a deep knowledge of planning tools, estimating techniques, and cost/budget tracking.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and prioritise without losing sight of overall plans and priorities.

Location

We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week.
