About the Role:

Join a team of experts in the field of commodity pricing and market reporting. As a Price Group Partner, you will be responsible for leading the development of global price assessment methodologies, working closely with commodity leadership and managers. You will collaborate with other methodology development specialists and price group operations to ensure alignment and share knowledge and ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead global price assessment methodology development, working with commodity leadership and managers.
  2. Collaborate with other methodology development specialists and price group operations to ensure alignment and share knowledge and ideas.
  3. Advise and partner with sector heads and senior management on market and methodology development and new markets.
  4. Engage with internal and external stakeholders of methodology change process and collaborate with other functional groups such as BCQ, Product, Product Development, and Commercial.
  5. Lead editorial governance through appropriate capture of key change procedures and processes for methodology development and methodology change projects.
  6. Leverage presentation opportunities at industry events and conferences to raise the visibility of Platts prices and benchmarks and the relevance of the methodology.
  7. Manage price assessment complaints, escalating to sector head and price group colleagues as appropriate to ensure resolution.
  8. Jointly approve corrections as required in line with editorial standards.
  9. Mentor frontline editors and demonstrate best practice in market reporting and implementation of methodology.

Requirements:

  1. 4+ years in pricing with a detailed knowledge of assessment methods and processes for executing changes to pricing methodology and the introduction of new pricing assessments.
  2. Degree educated (business, finance, economics, etc).
  3. Proven strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to influence across the organization.
  4. Subject matter expert in commodities/trading/markets and the competitive landscape and specialized knowledge of at least one commodity sector.
  5. Strong presentation skills to present at industry events, professional associations, and conferences.
  6. Tenacity and the ability to gain buy-in to decisions and drive issues to completion.
  7. Previous management experience and strong leadership ability which utilizes influence and promotes team collaboration and development as well as personal accountability.
  8. Assertive with independent mind who operates with facts and pushes back with respect.
