Job Summary:

Archaeological Research Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Heritage Consultant/Principal Consultant to lead our Consultancy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, producing high-quality reports and documents, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Consultancy team, scheduling, monitoring, and ensuring accountability for the Heritage team's work programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality reports and documents, including desk-based assessments, Environmental Statements, and setting studies.
  • Supervise staff and ensure the successful initiation and delivery of projects.
  • Contribute to the development of the consultancy service by generating new leads, winning new work, and training other team members.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent attainment.
  • Experience working in an office environment and conducting oneself professionally.
  • Motivating and supervising staff, dealing with clients, curators, and the public.
  • Team leadership, line management, goal-setting, holding staff accountable, and delivering results through others.
  • Documented experience producing high-quality assessments, environmental statements, setting studies, heritage statements, and delivering consultancy services.
  • Sound judgment and delivering successful outcomes that consider complexities in providing independent consultancy advice.
  • Quality assurance, including report checking, evaluation, excavation, and other types of reports.
  • Working to deadlines, working independently, and as part of a team.
