About the Role

Fugro, a leading provider of geo-data and survey solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical uptime of our Uncrewed Service Vessels (USVs) and electric Remotely Operated Vehicles (eROVs) in the European and African regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small site-based team for project mobilizations, equipment installation, equipment calibrations, vessel and equipment maintenance, and technical fault finding.
  • Work hands-on with remote equipment underpinning the transition from conventional survey to remote and uncrewed survey.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and calibration procedures to ensure optimal performance of USV and eROV systems.
  • Collaborate with remote operations teams to ensure seamless integration of onshore and offshore operations.
  • Provide daily progress reports on Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) and operational performance to internal project management teams and clients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior technical management role, such as ROV Superintendent, Geophysical Technical Coordinator, Chief Engineer, or Party Chief.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical distribution, survey equipment, ROV systems, and marine engineering.
  • Experience in logistical project mobilizations, operating planned maintenance systems, operating fault logging systems, and operating QHSE systems.
  • Ability to work shift patterns up to 4 weeks in length on sites across Europe and Africa.
