Speech Therapist for Children

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a Specialist Children's Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide enhanced support to pupils and staff at Ysgol y Deri Special School through a school-commissioned service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Speech and Language Therapy support to pupils accessing early intervention provision, both in Ysgol y Deri and in additional sites.
- Develop and deliver training to Ysgol y Deri staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in supporting pupils' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Provide Speech and Language Therapy to pupils who are not resident in the Cardiff and Vale Health Board area but attend Ysgol y Deri.
- Collaborate with Ysgol y Deri and Local Authority to provide Speech and Language Therapy to specific pupils, as directed by Education Tribunal.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development of our Children's Speech and Language Therapy service. You will receive clinical supervision and line management, as well as contribute to service review and development.

Requirements- Speech and Language Therapy degree
- Professional registration with the HCPC
- Desirable: Professional Registration with the RCSLT, Qualification in providing eating, drinking, and swallowing assessment
- Experience of working with children with complex needs
- Experience of providing training to school staff
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working
