Job Title: Qualified SEN Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN teacher to join our team at Create Education in East London. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for working with neurodiverse young people and a commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

Job Summary:

The SEN teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality education to students with complex needs. This will involve developing and implementing individualized education plans, working closely with the therapeutic education practitioners, and ensuring that all students receive a tailored and inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality education to students with complex needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Work closely with therapeutic education practitioners to ensure a holistic approach to education
  • Ensure that all students receive a tailored and inclusive education
  • Produce progress reports and statistics to inform teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure that the education provision is meeting the needs of all students
Person Specification:

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a minimum of two years' experience in the primary or SEND sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the SEND Code of Practice, as well as experience of working with neurodiverse students. They will be able to offer a calm and supportive approach to teaching and learning, and be able to prioritize workload effectively.

The successful candidate will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and will be subject to compliance checks including DBS and qualifications.
