About the Role

Kennedys is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join its Local Authority, Abuse & Specialist Liability team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will assist with defendant-related specialist claims, working closely with experienced Partners and lawyers to deliver high-quality results for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the defence of public liability claims, including those involving abuse and specialist liability
  • Work closely with lawyers and Partners to develop and implement effective defence strategies
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the defence of claims
  • Prepare and review documents, including pleadings and witness statements
  • Assist with the management of cases, including scheduling and deadlines
Requirements
  • Experience of public liability defence work, specialising in Local Authority, Abuse & Specialist Liability
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
